You may have heard the news: PRX, in partnership with WAMU, is hosting a multi-day podcast summit in Washington, D.C., from May 15-17, 2024.

In addition to our three full days of free programming, mentorship and networking, we're hosting a special in-person workshop for a select group of podcast and audio aficionados. 

The Creative Design Workshop is modeled after PRX's life-changing design sprints, aimed at helping participants create innovative solutions to difficult problems in podcasting and media. Think of it like a hackathon...but kinder. You'll be pushed creatively and strategically. You'll brainstorm, collaborate and prototype on a team. And you'll walk away with a keener understanding of how podcasts are conceptualized and created to delight listeners. What usually would take weeks gets boiled down to just a few hours.

👤 We are looking for people who:

• Love podcasts and audio! 
• Have some baseline experience in podcasting or audio production (less than 5 years) 
• Are interested in pursuing podcasting as a career and/or studying it in school
• Enjoy solving problems and collaborating with others
• Live in the D.C. area

• Note: This Workshop will take course over three mornings. Continued attendance is required if you are selected to participate. Please make sure you will be able to attend in-person all three days before filling out this application. You don't have to attend the rest of the summit – though we highly recommend it! 
  
  
• Note: We are only be able to accept 15 people into the Workshop. All selected participants will be provided a small stipend to cover local transportation and food/beverage while in the workshop, as well as guaranteed priority registration for all ticketed events. They will also receive assets to post this workshop as a professional development experience on their LinkedIn, websites and resumes.
