Project Move-In: Alumni/Faculty/Staff Volunteer Sign Up 2022
Move-In for New Hoyas will be held over the course of TWO days - Thursday, August 18th and Friday, August 19th
For this project, we are seeking volunteers who:
- Have access to cars
- Are willing to pick up new students from local airports or train stations
- Are eager to act as family for these students during a potentially stressful AND exciting time
- Might be willing to possibly even take "their" student to Target, etc! (OPTIONAL)
- Responsibilities may not only include transporting "their" student to campus, but ideally spending a little time helping the student navigate campus to their dorm, helping the student check in and, if agreed upon with the student, even a trip to Target to pick up items for their dorm they could not pack, etc.
**The most fruitful matches are those that build relationships that continue past move-in!**
We will not be able to make assignments UNTIL the week of August 9th, as we wait for students to finalize their travel plans. If you are matched with a student you will be notified and receive reminders confirming the move in details! We will provide you with the student's arrival information as well as their contact information so that you can connect prior to their arrival!
