The EU4Ocean coalition is organising its fourth "MakeEUBlue" Awards competition that will honor significant achievements in ocean literacy in Europe. These awards recompense completed or in progress projects. All ocean literacy projects can be submitted (by individuals, institutions, schools, youth etc.).
The competition winners will be announced at the European Maritime Day (EMD) 2025, taking place in Cork, from May 21st to the 23rd, 2025.
Overall, 4 categories of Awards are proposed:
EU4Ocean in Action (3 awards gradiant): Navy Blue (first prize, 2500€), Cyan Blue (second prize, 2000€), Sky Blue (third prize, 1500€).
Challenge of the Year award (2500€): one of the Award will be dedicated to a project that reached significant achievements on the topic of the EU4Ocean 2024 Challenge of the Year "Be a blue citizen: ocean, citizenship and democracy". More information is available on the Challenge of the Year.
